BINGO ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS!

The Halbur Quasqui committee has decided on a Bingo fundraiser to be held each Wednesday night at the Community Center, starting February 21st. Doors open at 5:30 PM with early bird games starting at 6:15 PM.  Food and refreshments will be available.  For more information contact one of the Bingo committee members:

Harvest Festival

The Harvest Festival and Scarecrow Contest were held Sunday, Sept 16th and marked the Grand Opening of the Corn Maze.  Thanks to everyone that volunteered their time and participated in making it a success.

Corn Maze Coming this Fall!

  • The Corn Maze was located on the east edge of Halbur.  Precision Mazes from Missouri designed the maze which resembled the Halbur Quasquicentennial logo designed by Mary (Eich) Hickethier.

Texas Hold'em Tournament

The 1st Annual Texas Hold'em poker tournament was held November 11th, 2006 at the Halbur Community Center.  Thanks to everyone that participated and helped make this event a success.  Congratulations to Nic Volquartsen who finished in 1st place, followed by Casey Pudenz, Tristan Brown, and Dean Carstens.

Harvest Festival

On August 17th and 18th, 2007 we will be having a Coed 14" Softball Tournament at the Halbur ballpark.  There must be 5 Men and 5 Women playing at all times and must be high school age or older.  The entry fee is $25 and a 14 inch softball and the top 2 teams will be paid.  No coolers allowed.  Food and Beverages will be available and admission is FREE!

If you are interested in signing up a team contact either Frank & Becky Eischeid (712-658-2816) or Dennis & Kris Riesberg. (712-658-2655)  The deadline to sign up is Monday, August 13th.
